Nuckolls County, Nebraska Marriage Records:

Date is either date of marriage or date when license was issued:

Charles E. Dill - Minnie M. Ruhlman, July 27, 1886; Bk. 1, pg. 521
========================

Bio-"Charles Edwin Dill was the fourth of ten children born to Philip and Elizabeth (Freeland)Dill. He is the brother of Albert William; Jeremiah Henry; James Hercules; Anna Mary; Amelia Catherine; Chloe Sevilla; Elizabeth Phoebe; Susie Mina; and Ida May.

Charles was the only one in his family to leave Ohio for the west. In 1886, at the age of 24 we find him in Nuckolls Co, NE marrying a 36 year old widow, Minnie Margarette Struve Ruhlman, who has two daughters, Maria Anna and Minnie Louise Ruhlman.

He and Minnie gave birth to at least two children: Ida May 1887-1888, and Albert Fredrick Dill 1888-1963. The marriage does not appear to have lasted very long, as we find that in 1894 Charles has remarried to Ida May(last name unknown)(Yes this is the third Ida May in his life). By 1900 they are residing in Falls City, OR. In the 1910 census Ida is listed as married but appears to be living by herself in Falls City, OR with no occupation. So far Charles has not been located in this census.

In 1920 he and Ida are living in Kings Valley, Benton Co, OR where he is employed as a machinist for "RR (Railroad?)Shop". By 1930 Ida is listed as a widow living in Salem, OR. One would assume Charles died in OR, however he has a gravestone in Nuckolls Co, Nebraska in the area where he and his first wife lived, however she is buried in neighboring Thayer county in the same cemetery as their daughter Ida May Dill and her first husband Karl Ruhlman. His second wife Ida May is buried in Salem, OR in an unmarked grave in what appears to be a group plot"
