Mrs. Margaret Dingman died Sunday, aged 84 years.

Mrs. Dingman came to this county from Niagara, New York, over forty years ago. Thirty-two years ago, she was matron of the county farm.

The funeral was Tuesday at Rosebush conducted by Rev. J. Adair McGreaham.

"Maggie" was born in Ireland and immigrated to Canada with her parents when she was a small child. Her father was James McKnight and mother was Catherine nee:Lennox.

Maggie's first child was a son, William Young Church Jr. born 1858 in Cobourg, Ontario, Canada. I have not found any records relating to Wm. Y. Church Sr.

Maggie married Timothy Dingman May 7, 1865. Daughter Ida K. Dingman was born in 1867 New York; daughter Lerena E. Dingman was born in 1869 Ontario, and Harry James Dingman was born Aug. 12,1875 in Michigan.

After Timothy Dingman died, Maggie re-married:

Margaret McKnight Dingman, b. Antrim, Ireland, age 63 [Father listed as James McKnight and Mother as Catherine Lenox] married Malcolm D. Davis, b. N. Parsonfield, Maine, age 67 [Father listed as Moses Davis and mother as Abigail Moulton] on April 18, 1899, Harrison, Clare co., Michigan. This marriage was short lived because Maggie was in the 1900 Isabella, MI census and had resumed her Dingman name. Records show that Malcolm was a physician and died in Sept. 1900, age 68, maritial status shown as divorced.

Margaret J. Davis, born Ireland [Father listed as James McKnight and mother Catherine Lenox] married Robert Haire, born New York [Father listed as Robert Haire and mother as Margaret Hamer] on March 19, 1902., Ithaca, Gratiot, Michigan. Maggie's Michigan Death record is in the name of Dingman with Haire written in above her last name and maritial status was divorced.
