Again the death angel has visited our community and borne away in his chilly arms the spirit of sweet little Imogene, the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Henderson. Imogene was not permitted to stay here on earth very long, her age being one year, seven months and twenty-one days, but while here she was the life of the home, always playing and full of glee. She was sick almost two weeks of Cholera Infantum. All that medical aid and kind loving ministry was done to nurse her back to health again, but alas, it could not be and then worse again, until Tuesday, September the tenth. As the morn dawned, the messenger of death knocked at the door of the home and claimed the sweet little one and borne the spirit away across the chilly stream of death, to return it to God who gave it.
Imogene was a favorite among the family and all who knew her. She was a father's joy and a mother's darling, but God saw fit to take her away. His will, for He hath said, in his blessed book, "suffer little children to come unto me, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven". What a consolation to know that she stands around the Beautiful throne with outstretched arms waiting for father, mother and little sister, Lucile, to come!
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. L. B. Ihrig to a large congregation of friends and relatives, and the remains were laid to rest in the Brethern cemetery.
