It is said that Louise and Christian Schulle,Jr. met when she was working for the Schawe family in Maxwell, Texas.
January 4, 1890, the two were married and made their home nearby. Three children were born to the couple.
A grandaughter tells of a "glass slipper" placed in her hand when she was very young. The small glass slipper came from Louise who had brought it to America. One pictures a young lady leaving her homeland bound for a far away land where a different language was spoken, clutching a small rememberance from home. One can also picture that same lady two generations later, handing off the "glass slipper" to a granddaughter who would treasure it and remember the exchange some 65 years later.
