Dorothy Ann Milligan Martin of Conway answered a call for rest and a better life around 5:20 pm, Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at her home. Dorothy had been trying to recover and rehabilitate from a 120 day hospitalization for Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus Pneumonia at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD.
Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed spending time at the river and enjoyed the outdoors very much.
Dorothy is predeceased by her father, Crosby Gene Milligan and her mother, Nellie JoAnn Martin Milligan of Conway.
Dorothy leaves her husband of twenty-seven years and friend and companion of thirty-four years, Milton M. Martin; her son, Charles and daughter-in-law Tracey Martin of Hemingway; her daughter, Christine Martin and son-in-law Phil of Phillipsburg, NJ, her three grandchildren, Keri Kaye Martin and Anthony Thomas Martin of Hemingway and Rosebud Lynn Ike of Phillipsburg, NJ; two sisters, Julie Ann Collins and Mary Catherine Clyde both of Florence; her mother-in-law, (Mom) Nola Lee Johnson of Conway and many other family and friends who will miss her.
Family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Watson Funeral Services.
Funeral Services will be held 2:30 pm Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Brian Winburn officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
