Funeral services for R.J. Attebery, pioneer Marshall county farmer,were held at the Kingston Baptist church Wednesday afternoon.
Mr. Attebery died at this home in Kingston Monday. He had been in ill health for the past 8 years.
He was born near Greenville, Tex., August 11, 1868 and moved to Marshall county in 1903.
An active member of the Methodist church for more than 55 years, Mr. Attebery was a member of the Masonic lodge and hed served in several offices in the lodge. He had been treasurer of the Kingston lodge for the past ten years.
He was married to Miss Susie Stevens, who survives him, December 19, 1888.
Burial was in the Kingston cemetery, with the Masons in charge of the rites. Watts Funeral Home in Madill made funeral arrangements.
