Irene C. Lear Brantner

Mn. Irene C. Lear Brantner, 83, of R.D. 2, Box 54-B, Williamsburg.died at 7:28 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16/-1991, in the Altoona Hospital,'following a brief illness.

Born Oct. 14, 1907, in-Mdntyre
Township, Lycoming County, she was
a daughter of the late Martin P. and Ellen C. (Sherman) Hatch.
She was twice married: first,
in 1929, in Lycoming County, to Benjamin F. Lear, who died Sept. 14, 1969; then,
in Williamsburg,to D. Elwood Brantner, who died
in 1980.
Surviving are 14 children:
Joyce I. Verbonitz, Martha E. Blair and Raymond
E. Lear, all of Williamsburg
R.D.; Helen L. Dawson, State College;
Ellen C. Whiteaker, Mechanicsburg;
Marie B. Wilson, Camp Hill; Geraldine
C. Favasuli, Earl C. Lear, Donald C.
Lear and Charles D. Lear, all of Harrisburg;
George M. Lear, Williamsburg;
Marion E. Lear, in Maryland; Benjamin
F. Lear, Timberville, Va,; and Thelma
G. Morley, Buffalo, N.Y.
Also surviving are 17 step-children;
69 grandchildren; 65 great -grandchildren;
numerous great-great-grandchildren;
and many step-grandchildren,
step-great-grand children and step-great-great-grandchildren.
One "son, Walter C. Lear, died in 1985.
She was the last surviving member of
her immediate family, having been preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Brantner was a member of the Williamsburg Church of God. She was formerly employed at
Price's Poultry, Hollidaysburg R.D.,and the Martinsburg Shoe Co.,Martinsburg.

Funeral services will beheld at 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Williamsburg
Church of God, High St., Williamsburg with Pastor J. Dairy 1 Crawford officiating. Interment will be in New Canoe Creek Cemetery, Hollidaysburg R.D.
Friends may call at the Bolger-Fredline Funeral Home, 424 W. Second St, Willamsburg, today (Friday),from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m..
The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Williamsburg Church of God, High St., Williamsburg,Pa. 16693
