1881 census Tiverton, Bruce Twp., Bruce Cty., Ontario: Davidson Jack 35; Jane 30; Alfred 5; and Jane 3. (Provided by Larry Smith)
Hi! It is my belief that Davidson Jack was the son of James Jack and Jean Hood. His birth date seems to fit in well with the other children that they had. I do think that he was named for Davidson Todd who died when fairly young. Davidson had an older brother, William Baptist Jack born in 1830, whose first wife was Elizabeth Todd, the daughter of Davidson Todd and Margaret Hood. Provided by Jan Darby)
