MABEL JANET WEBSTER

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, 1997, in United Church of Christ in Forest Grove for Mabel Janet Webster, who died Feb. 5 at age 86.

Mrs. Webster was born April 7, 1910, in Aberdeen, Idaho. He maiden name was Brown. At age 5, she moved to the Forest Grove area and graduated from Forest Grove High School. She earned her teaching credentials in 1930 from Oregon Normal School and studied at San Francisco State College. She taught at Jackson School in Cornelius, Yamhill Grade School and Moore's Valley School. She was a member of the church. She married Everett in 1939, and they lived in San Francisco andVancouver, Wash., before moving in 1947 to Forest Grove. She was a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary and treasurer for 27 years.

Survivors include her husband; daughter, Nancy of Aloha; and son, Robert, and sister, Betty Britton, both of Forest Grove.
