James Floyd Pennington was the 4th of 5 children born to James Frank Pennington and Bertha Jean Blanton Pennington.

The children are as follows:
Lorena Pennington 1905-1992
Viola P. Pennington 1911-1986
Ruby Jean Pennington 1616-Unknow
James Floyd Pennington 1921-1993
William Blanton Pennington 1922-1984

He told me that the only spanking he ever got from his father to at the time his Dad was Sheriff, he went out to make an arrest and when the man did not come peaceable his Dad went back to the car to get his gun from the glove box and Little James had taken his gun all apart. He said that he Dad was so angry.

Jim donated his mortal remains to the Baylor Institute of Medicine, Houston, Harris, Texas for research, he was proud of saying that "They just might find a cure for something". His ashes were returned to his family and was buried August 14, 1996 on the anniversary of his death in Memory Gardens of Edna Cemetery, Edna, Jackson, Texas, USA.
