Funeral Services for Mrs. Minnie (Granny) Spill, 89, of Rockdale, will be held at 2 P.M. Friday in the Phillips & Luckey chapel with the Rev. Roy C. Brewton, pastor of the First Christian church, officiating.

Burial will follow in the IOOF cemetery.

Mrs. Spill, who would have been 90 on March 6, died July 6, 1960 at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. R. A. Tyler of Rockdale.

Mrs. Spill was born March 6, 1871 in Germany, but had lived most of her life in Rockdale. Until January of this year, she had been in excellent health and regularly attended the First Christian church.

Her husband, Henry Spills, preceded her in death in 1903. Two of their children also preceeded her in death: Henry Spill Jr. died in 1916 and George Spill in 1932.

Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. R. A. (Barbara) Tyler and Mrs. Hattie Stutts; seven grandchildren, Mrs. Bill Summers, Mrs. Bennie D. Williams, Henry Tyler, Mrs Ora May Jones, Lynward Stutts, Charles Stutts and Ray Stutts. Also surviving are 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. [contributed by #48163243]
