from WORLD CONNECT, Royal David Green was the son of Amasa Lyman Green and his first wife, Ada Leonora Cutler, both of Utah, one of their twelve children.

Royal David Green was born on May 8, 1902 in Glendale, Utah to Amasa Lyman Green and Ada Leonora Cutler. He married a Clara Beatrice Parker. Clara had two daughters, Dorothy Clara Haynes and Madeline Haynes. Clara and Royal had one son, Royal Lyman Green, Jr.. Clara passed away at age 37 from breast cancer leaving 2 daughters that were still in high school. Royal eventually married his step-daughter (who was about 10 years younger) Dorothy Clara Haynes who was about 18-19. Royal and Dorothy had two sons together, Paul and Clyde. Royal and Dorothy later divorced. Royal then married Jackie Keele.

Eager to see his grandchildren, Royal flew from California to Utah in May of 1982. They had a wonderful visit and they recorded his life story. Unfortunately, the flight to higher altitude, or maybe just timing, he began to have chest pain and breathing problems. The Utah high altitude may have contributed to his death as he died within a few days of his visit in Utah.

A 30-year resident of San Bernardino, he died May 19 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a retired millwright and a member of the San Bernardino AARP. He was survived by his wife, Jackie A. Green, sons, Royal and Paul in Long Beach, and Clyde in Salt Lake City, a sister, Melissa Manwill of Salt Lake City and June Lachman of Pacific Palisades, and brother, Richard Green of Salt Lake City, Utah several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Inscription: Beloved Husband / Royal D. Green / 1902 - 1982. Gravesite details: Buried between Jackie Green and Myldred Terry. SSDI provided the dates and last residence of San Bernadino.
