Sabina Elsie Lydia Papendorf was born on January 15, 1895, in Shawano County, Wisconsin, to Gustav and Johanna (Weisman). She grew up in the Town of Grant where she received her education through the 8th grade. Sabina had two sons, Alvin and Ervin with Robert Herman Buss between 1919 and 1923. She died on April 2, 1985, in Wisconsin at the age of 90, and was buried in Caroline, Wisconsin, on Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
