Theda "Teddy" Privette Alford, 76, of 2812 Dove Lane, died Tuesday, January 20, 1998 at Wake Medical Center.
Teddy worked for 32 years as a Sales Clerk in Children's Wear at Hudson Belk and was co-owner of the Carousel Sundae Bar. Teddy loved to bowl and go fishing.
Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 1998 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, Knightdale. Burial, Zebulon Town Cemetery.
Surviving: husband, Cecil Calbert Alford; sons, David Alford and his wife, Judi Alford of Newport News, VA, Lawrence Alford and his wife, Marilyn Alford of Leonardtown, MD; brothers, Wayne Privette and his wife, Betty Privette of Zebulon, Curtis Privette and his wife, Phyllis Privette of Zebulon, Frank Privette and his wife, Hilda Privette of Washington, NC; sister, Vivian P. Trevathan of Zebulon; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Family will receive relatives and friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545 and other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to St. James United Methodist Church Building Fund, 3808 New Hope Road, Raleigh, NC 27604.
