WINCHESTER-Services for lifelong Randolph County resident George D. Abel,71, will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Jericho Friends Meeting. Burial will be in Jericho Cemetery.
Mr. Abel died Tuesday in Randolph County Hospital after a long illness. He was an Army veteran and was a tool and die maker at Delaware Machine and Tool in Muncie for many years. He working at Neudecker Manufacturing for 15 years before retiring. He was a member of Jericho Friends Meeting and its Ministry and Oversight Committee.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Sara M. King Abel; three daughters, Linda Moore, Karen Abel and Nancy Brown (husband:Keith); a sister, Martha Miller (husband:Thomas); four grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.
Memorials may be made to Jericho Friends Meeting.
George,Jr. was the son of George,Sr. and Anna Ethyl(Lykins) Abel. He had a sister Martha Ann who married Tom Miller and she is buried at Buena Vista.
