place of death: Huntington, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania
Hannah was the daughter of the Rev. John Darby [Derby, Darbe] and Phoebe Stockbridge. She had an older brother, John Jr., born in 1750.
Hannah married Philip Goss V, son of Philip Goss IV and Mary Kendall in about 1772. Records show they married in Hebron, CT, but it is known that Philip was living in Plymouth Twp, PA during this time so it may be that the marriage was recorded in Hebron because that was Hannah's hometown, a common practice.
Records show that Philip and Hannah had at least three children: Jerusha, Philip VI and Sarah. They may have had more and census records indicate a larger family but no other names can absolutely be identified at this time.
