One source says he is buried in the Jewett-12 Corners Cemetery in Madison ME so there is discrepancy. The picture of his gravestone is from Bingham so perhaps there are two.
His gravestone says his last name is spelled BEANE. The added "e" on the end of Bean for some of his children is a known family change. Why it was changed is not clear but it supposedly was a point of argument.
"Cephas - a Syriac surname given by Christ to Simon (John 1:42), meaning rock. The Greeks translated it by Petros, and the Latins by Petrus."
