Born in Kempton, he was a son of the late Charles and Amanda (Frey) Hamm.
He had been employed for 30 years as an electrician by the Parish Division of the Dana Corp., retiring in 1970.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of St. Daniel's Lutheran Church, Robesonia R.D.1.
Other survivors include two stepsons, Paul G. Kintzer, Stouchsburg, and Calvin W. Yoh, Robesonia, and a sister, Esther, widow of Victor Koenig, New Tripoli.
There are also four step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
