Anna Catherine is the daughter of Henry RUDER and Anna Dorathea WASSINGER, born about 1846 in Wittman, Russia. In 1876 she immigrated to the United States with her husband John Dechant and their two children, Agatha and John Jr. It is believed she died in childbirth with her 3rd child, Elizabeth in 1878 (probably July), but there are no records to support this and no known place of burial. One thing is certain is that John remarried in November of 1878 so it does seem likely that she did die before November.
