FLETCHER - Funeral for Mary Christine Watts Bridges, 72, Fletcher, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Fletcher with the Rev. A.L. Swagerty and the Rev. Rodney Campbell officiating.
Mary passed away peacefully Friday, March 26, 2010, in Lawton.
Burial will be at Fletcher Cemetery under the direction of the Fletcher Funeral home.
Mrs. Bridges was born on Dec. 26, 1937, to James and Grace Bennett Watts in Cache. She attended Fletcher High School and married Don Bridges on March 3, 1956. The couple was married for 40 years when Don passed away on Sept. 1, 1996. She worked for years in the meat market at the Fletcher Grocery store where she was known for her homemade chili. She enjoyed painting ceramic figurines but most of all she enjoyed being a mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her three children: Cheryl Bennett, Cement; Sharon Bridges, Fletcher; and Clint Bridges, Hollywood, Florida; three sisters: Doris and Barbara Holden, Fletcher; Jean Norrell, Chickasha; a brother, JR Watts, Fletcher; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Bridges and her parents James and Grace Watts.
