"Poppa", 85, Grand Saline, burial Creagleville Cemetery, died Feb. 4, 1998, Grand Saline, Tx., born March 27, 1912 Friendship Community, lived in Grand Saline most of life, traveled with railroad, returned home 1986, retired from T&P Railroad after 42 yrs, member First United Methodist Church.
Preceded in death by wife of 61 years, Marylene Bailiff in 1991.
Survivors: son, Judson Bailiff, two daughters, Gwen Hughes, and Carolyn Western; brother, Melvin Bailiff,; sister, Billie Ruth Shelton; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.
