M.H. Lewis, aged 65 years, died at his home at Meyers Falls Tuesday, Jan. 31, from Bright's disease, after an illness of about three months.
The deceased was born in Virginia and has been a resident of the west for 16 years, coming to Meyers Falls 9 years ago. His wife died in Palouse n 1899. He has been engaged in fruit raising.
He leaves two daughters, Ida E. and Grace O., of Meyers Falls; a son, Chas. M., living in Farmington; and three brothers and a sister. His brother E.T. Lewis of Seattle was present.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at Meyers Falls by the Rev. Will H. English of Colville, and interment was at Meyers Falls. The deceased had been a member of the Baptist church for nearly 40 years.
