Barbara Jean Karr, 49, of Memphis, died Wednesday, August 6 at her residence. Ms. Karr was a homemaker. Services were Saturday, August 9 at C.O. Pate Funeral Home in Senatobia with interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pall bearers were Dean Parnell, Max Farrey, Jason Smith, William LeGear, Robert Cook, Jr., and Matt Shakle. Gerald Brookshire officiated.


She is survived by her fiancee, Clyde LeGear; three daughters, Johnna Karr, Misty Whittaker, and Kristy Dietz, all of Oswego, Kan., two nephews, Ryan Smith and Rick Haines, both of Memphis; three sisters, Teresa Ward and Julie Harp, both of Byhalia and Mechelle Ashby of Senatobia; one brother, Howard Smith, Jr., of Olive Branch; and eight grandchildren
