Eldest child of Emily Augusta Hatfield (1870-1936) and Henry Wardell Miller (1868-1938)
Older sister of Adeline Wardell Clayton (1893-1924), and Grace Ethel Hungerford(1895-1989), Emeline Otis Frace (1904-2002), and an infant that did not survive. She and her sisters were all born in Brooklyn, New York, where her father was a coal dealer. The family lived at 161 Union Ave in 1900, but by 1910, the family migrated to Center street, Norwalk California where they ran a chicken farm.

The service was in charge of Rev. B.C. Cory. Mr. and Mrs. Archer will reside at their country home, at Norwalk." [L.A. Times, Thurs 22 Jun 1911 p 22]

She and her husband Charles ran a farm on Telegraph Road, Norwalk by 1920, where they raised their daughters, Jeannette (Mrs. Martin) Erreca (28 Jul 1914-17 Feb 1965), Louise (Mrs. Montie) Montana (31 Aug 1916-14 Aug 2005), Marie Adeline (Mrs Russell) Porter (15 May 1918-1 June 2004), Billie Ethel (Mrs Melville Charles) Rich (30 Apr 1920-4 Jan 1998). Their son, Charles Eustace Archer, Jr, died young (6 Jan 1913-25 Feb 1916)
