LILLIAN BENWAY
Lillian Audrey Wilson, daughter of Charlie and Anna Wilson, was born October 14, 1910 near Lacona, Ia., and died May 23, 1965 at Le Claire, Ia., at the age of 54 years.
On December 26, 1928, she was united in marriage to James W. Benway at Des Moines, Ia., and they established their home at Chariton, Ia. to this union three children were born, James Jr., of Stockton, Ia., LaDonna Hixson, of Bettendorf, Ia., and Bobbie, of Chariton, Ia. She was a member of the United Brethren church.
She is survived by her husband, James Willard Benway; two sons, James Jr. and his wife Marlo and Bobbie and his wife Jolene; one daughter LaDonna Hixson and her husband David; one sister, Ethel Rhoda of Chariton and two brothers, Loren Wilson of Pleasant Valley, Ia. and Harold Wilson of Chariton; three grandchildren; five step-children and a host of relatives and friends.
Services were conducted at the Miley Chapel Wednesday, May 26 at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. William Osick officiating. Interment was at the Chariton cemetery.
