WALTER ELIAS CARTER DIES
Services for Route 4 Resident, 83, Will Be Tomorrow
Funeral services for Walter Elias Carter, 83, who lived two miles east of Duenweg on Highway 166, will be held at 2 tomorrow afternoon at the Forest Park Baptist church in Joplin. The Rev. Thurman Kelley and the Rev. Fred Walker will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Park cemetery.
Mr. Carter passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. James Hubbard, in Webb City, where he had been five weeks. He had been in failing health two years, but his condition became more serious just prior to moving to the Hubbard home. He was bedfast three weeks.
Walter Elias Carter was born Dec. 13, 1873, in Moberly, Mo. Later he came to Jasper county and was married to Miss Anna Endicott. They lived on a farm in the same vicinity of the present.
