died May 11, 1948 Stevens Co, WA

Francis "Frank" Marion Jarvis was born March 4, 1865 in Madison Co, Illinois and was educated in the common schools of Henry county, Missouri.

In 1883 Francis married Mary Jane "Molly" Bennett, daughter of Washington and Marietta (Baughker) Bennett, natives of Missouri. Her father was killed in the Civil War but her mother remained in Richhill, Missouri.

In 1884 Frank and Molly crossed the plains with his parents, John and Indiana (Ridgeway) Jarvis.

For a time after coming to Washington, Frank followed freighting and then bought a steam baler, which he operated until 1889. In that year he sold this and bought a logging outfit. He also was a farmer with a nice bunch of stock and his place was well improved.

Molly was 57 when she died of skin cancer on October 29, 1920, in Republic, Ferry County, Washington.

After Molly's death, Frank married Bertha "Birdie" Cameron May.
