Henry Speers Baker was born in 1856 in Washington County, Pennsylvania to Enoch and Margaret (Speers) Baker. He came to Illinois at age 22 and in 1884, he married Elizabeth "Nettie" Boggess. While they had six sons, 4 who died very young, they were parents of longtime Fairmount resident Froman Baker and grandparents of Helen Miller. Henry also served as President of the Davis Cemetery Board and was buried there after his death in 1947 at age 90. (Info provided by LISA DAVIS)
