Lawson Anderson Bryant was the son of Northam Lee and Virginia Blanche (Thrift) Bryant. He was the eldest child of seven children. He left home at an early age, enlisting in the U.S. Navy, from which he retired after 25 years. He was also a licensed minister.

He married in 1939 to Flora Ethel Laramore. They had no children.

Services for Lawson A. Bryant, 63, will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday in Krum Baptist Church. Mr. Bryant died at 5 p.m. Sunday in Carswell Air Force Base Hospital, following a stroke.
The Revs. Tom Yarbrough and C.E. Newman will officiate at the service. Burial will be in Texarkana, Texas.
A resident of Krum, Mr. Bryant was a retired Navy Veteran with 25 years military service. He saw action in World War 11.
He was born in Village, Virginia on September 14, 1900. At his death, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge, a Gideon, a deacon at the First Baptist Church in Krum and a licensed minister.
Survivors include his widow, the former Flora Laramore, whom he married in 1939; a sister, Mrs. Mary Packett of Village, Va.; and five brothers, Allan, and Philip Bryant of Village, and Herbert, Robert and Clinton Bryant of Hopewell, Virginia.
