His father, Isaac Rand Froman was born 19 April 1830 Danville, Vermillion County, Illinois. His mother, Eliza Jane (Henderson) Froman was born 13 March 1835 Danville, Ill. They were living on a farm near Albany, Oregon when Tom was born.

He married Minnie Francine Dickey 10 December 1885 Linn County, Oregon.

1900 they were farming at Price, Linn County, Oregon.

1902 they came to Mohler, Lincoln County, WA and were in the restaurant business.

1911 they moved to Harrington, WA.

1921 his wife passed away.

1925 he moved with his daughter and son-in-law to Seattle. Moving in 1942 to Edmonds, WA.

He died in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Amrine.

They had one daughter:
Bessie Froman born April 1891 Oregon.
