Ruby was the daughter of Henry and Bertha Benne. She married Louis D Heck on December 4, 1935. They had one son, Louis III.

Besides her husband and son, she is survived by 4 brothers: Ernest and Henry Benne of Washington; Erwin J. Benne of Okemos, Michigan; and Kenneth Benne of Boston, Massachusetts; and 2 sisters, Mrs. Marie Norris of Washington and Mrs. Dora Boecker of Hanover, KS. Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers who died in infancy, and one brother and two sisters who died after reaching adulthood She also leaves a number of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

A memorial service was held at Ward's Chapel at 2 p.m., April 11. Interment was in the Washington Cemetery.
