Mrs. Barbara Lorene Innis, 58, 115 S. Broadway, died at 4 a.m. today at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, having been in failing health for a few weeks.

Mrs. Innis was born April 4, 1921 in Milwaukee, Wis., the daughter of George Leroy and Mildred Townsend Alexander. Her father died in 1941 and her mother in 1969.

She attended school in Minford, Ohio, and attended business college in Portsmouth.

Mrs. Innis was a member of the Senior Citizens, very active in the Decatur County Humane Society, was a member of the Historical Society of Decatur County, Pythian Sisters, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Democratic party.

She had worked with her husband, Robert P. Innis, in the photography business on North East Street for many years.

Her husband preceded her in death Jan. 28, 1973. They had been married March 8, 1951, and surviving are one daughter, Cherrie L. Dotter, Germany, a son, Michael R. Innis, Greensburg, and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, George Alexander.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Chattin Officiating and with burial in the South Park Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Wednesday.
