Ann (-----) Barry Devinney

Ann (Unknown maiden name) was married to a John Barry, who died in Maryland circa 1810, before she and her two sons, John Jr. and Joseph Barry, went to Ohio with Benjamin Barry (Memorial 124866885) in about 1815 or 16. There is a John Barry listed in the Baltimore City tax record book from 1793 that shows he paid taxes through 1810 but paid no taxes after that. Ann remarried to James Devinney in 1829 in Guernsey Co., Ohio.. After Ann died, James moved on and his final location is not known at this time..

Ann is buried on the original farm she and Benjamin, co-owned. Section 18, Madison Township., Guernsey Co., Ohio. Benjamin owned the west half and she the east half section.
Her grave site is on the south west quarter of section 18, over looking a small stream called Coon Creek, It's on the original 80 acres that belonged to Benjamin Barry with whom she went to Ohio with. I located the grave site in July of 2008. There is another grave with a missing stone. I believe this grave to be that of her son John Jr. (My GG Grandfather). There is also a small stone marked "B. B." indicating a baby Barry. The stone of Bazzel Barry is also there. Bassel was the son of Benjamin and his wife Mary. His stone indicates that he was 16 when he passed away in 1835... Harold
