His sons were Grover Cleveland Carver, Jr. and Odie Carver. He was survived by 3 sisters, Sarah Rutledge, Mrs. B.F. Coleman, and Mrs. Trannie Showers (of Jacksonville, MO). Also surviving were 6 brothers, William H. and W.W., both of Chicago; D.L., Bloomington; B.B. of Austin, KY, and R.R. of Indiana.
Grover was a member of the Normal Baptist Church. He came to Bloomington in 1924.
