Robert Bevins
Robert M. Bevins, 33, of 964 Sarah Lane, Endicott, a former Utican, died of cancer yesterday in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton. He was employed by IBM Corp., in a managerial capacity at Glendale Laboratory, Endicott.
He was born in Utica, son of Maurice and Anne Nicholson Bevins. He was graduated from Notre Dame High School and St. Michael's College of the University of Toronto. [Information furnished by the chairperson of Robert's graduating class indicates: He did not graduate from Notre Dame High School but rather from the last graduating class of Utica Catholic Academy in June 1960.]
He married Jane V. [sic, Jane Carol] Voce in Utica in 1953. The couple had lived in Endicott for 12 years. He was discharged from the Army in 1973. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Endicott, and a former member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Utica. Besides his wife, he leaves his father, a retired deputy fire chief of Utica; two daughters, Anne Marie and Jennifer E. and two sons, Casey and Michael B., all at home, and a brother, Richard J. of Watertown.
The funeral will be at 9:30 Friday from the Heintz Funeral Home, and at ?? (news article unreadable) from Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. Calling hours at the Allen Memorial Home, East Main Street, Endicott, will be from 7 to 9 tonight. Calling hours at the Heintz Funeral Home will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow.
