Rock Hill, Feb. 19. - George Fleming Mickle, 70, retired farmer, died at his home today. Funeral services are to be held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock from the home. Interment will be Laurelwood cemetery.
Mr. Mickle was born in Florida. The family moved in 1871 from Florida to Camden, where Mr. Mickle spent his boyhood days. In 1898 he came to Rock Hill, became engaged in farming and later did construction work.
He was married in 1892 to Miss Ellen Lucille Gibson who died in 1899 leaving three sons, R.E. Mickle, Norfolk, Va.; George T. Mickle, Durham, NC., and D.T. Mackle, Rock Hill. Mr Mickle was married the second time to Miss Sally A. Ligon, Chester county, who survives. The following children also survive from this union; Mrs. A. L. Grife, New York; Mrs. H. T. Huffman, Charlotte, N.C.; R.F. Mickle, Atlanta, Ga.; A.P. Mickle, Asheville, N.C.; W.E., John Ross, and Miss Emily Jeanette Mickle, all of Rock Hill.
Also surviving Mr. Mickle are brothres and three sisters, Robert T. Mickle, Mrs. Emma Hammond, both of Camden; Mrs. Mollie Blakmon, Orangeburg; Mrs. Alice Huckabee, Ridgeway.
