George Reed/Alfred Stone was hit by a drunk driver and died several weeks later on Feb 4,1942 in Sacramento, California. Mamie married (2nd) William Thexton in 1952 in Sacramento, California. They moved to Oregon about 1958 where she died five years later.

Mamie Gallagher's mother Lucinda Cota Gallagher (age 34) passed away in 1897 in Gold Flat, Nevada CA, leaving Mamie (age 9) and her siblings Josephine, Adele and Peter to be raised in the Mount Saint Mary's Catholic Boarding School/Orphanage.
This was the same Boarding School that Mamie's mother Lucinda and her sister Josephine and brother Peter were placed in a couple of years after their mother Maria Moras/Morris Cota Brown (age 33) passed in 1872. Mamie's father was still living in Grass Valley until he passed in 1926.
