Oscar McKinley Corn Jr., 70, of Crossville, passed away June 12, 2003. Funeral services were conducted June 16 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Green Acres Memory Gardens. Dr. Dan D. Haskins Jr. officiated, with special music by Chris South.
Mr. Corn was born Aug. 30, 1932 in Epworth, GA, the son of Oscar M. Corn Sr. and Cora Sanders Corn.
He was retired from a military career in the U.S. Air Force, having served in Korea and Vietnam, and was retired from Vendale Co. He was also a member of Homesteads Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Beadle Corn of Crossville; daughters, Sandy Runnestand of Katie, TX, Barbara Jean Carlton of Florida and Patricia Angel of Crossville; son, Kenneth Wayne Corn of Broken Arrow, OK; sisters, Ruby Howard of Memphis, Ruth Barcowski of Atlanta, GA, Grace Ann Corn of Epworth, GA and Eddie Lee of Atlanta, GA; and brothers, Tommy, Frank and Johnny Corn of Atlanta, GA.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Kermit Corn; and sisters, Mildred Baggett and Dorothy Corn.
Pallbearers were Hoyt Evans, Jud Payne, Joel Green, Danny Hassler, Bill Johnston and Elwood McDonaldson.
