MRS. MINNIE BAKER

Mrs. Minnie Baker, wife of Mahlon B. Baker of Julian street, died at her home Tuesday morning at 2:45 o'clock from complications after a long illness. She was born on the old Bloom farm near Martinsburg Nov. 21, 1870, the daughter of Henry (deceased) and Sarah Dilling. The mother is now 89 years old, and her health will not likely permit her attendance at her daughter's funeral. Mrs. Baker was united in marriage Feb. 23, 1890, with Mahlon B. Baker. They resided at Brookes Mills, moving to Martinsburg in 1923.

Besides her husband she is survived by the following children: Harry and Lester of Martinsburg; John of Los Angeles; Edna, wife of Charles Ringler of Brookes Mills and Sadie, wife of George Shoop of Woodbury. She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Sarah Dilling, of Fredericksburg, and these brothers and sisters: Homer Dilling of Martinsburg, R. D. 2, Clayton E. Dilling of Martinsburg, Mrs. Leora Piper of Duncansville, and Mrs. I. B. Kensinger of Fredericksburg.

She was a member of the Church of the Brethren, a good neighbor and a friend to all. Funeral services will be held in the Memorial Church of the Brethren at this place Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, this time being set on account of the son, John, who could not arrive sooner from California. The services will be in charge of Rev. C. O. Beery and Rev. James Sell. Interment will be made in the Brumbaugh cemetery at Fredericksburg.
