Mrs. Mollie Snyder, 86, dies at Hammond -- Rites At South Park Cemetery Thursday
Mrs. Mollie Snyder, 86, a former teacher in the Decatur county schools and a resident of Greensburg for many years, passed away at Hammond Tuesday, according to a message.
Born and reared in Greensburg, mrs. Snyder was the daughter of William D. and Lydia A. Daily, who lived at the corner of North Broadway and West Central avenue. She was a graduate of Greensburg high school in the class of 1876 and of Moores Hill College. For many years she served as a teacher at Clarksburg and other schools of Decatur county. She was active in the work of the Methodist church here and was a respected Greensburg woman.
The survivors are: A daughter, Miss Flo Snyder, a son, William, and a sister, Miss Rebecca Daily, all of Hammond, where funeral rites will be held.
The body will arrive in Greensburg Thursday afternoon at 3:15 o'clock and will be taken to South Park cemetery for burial. The Rev. E.F. Schneider will conduct services at the grave.
