Mary TURNER Patten was born at Sharonville, Hamilton County, Ohio, Oct 14, 1831. At age 12 years she moved with her parents to Hancock County, Illinois and later to Wisconsin. She married at White Oak, Wisconsin November 6, 1859 to James PATTEN. One child was born to them, a daughter - Sarah Ann, born February 12, 1862 and died in 1879. They lived on a farm near Fairview, Illinois for a number of years and moved to Fairview in 1901. Mr. Patten died in the same year, 1901. Mrs. Patten's sisters, Mrs. Amy KEITHLEY and Mrs. Augusta TRAVERS are both deceased. On February 19, 1917, she fell and broke her left limb and failed to recover. Mrs. PATTEN leaves two brothers - George TURNER, who lived with her in Fairview, Illinois and Lewis TURNER, living near Fairview, Illinois.
