Luther Aaron, 86, Russell Springs, died Sunday, February 11, 2001 at Russell County Hospital.

He was born in Russell County February 12, 1914 to the late Armilda Stephens Aaron and the late William Thomas Aaron.

He was a retired carpenter and farmer and a member of Bernard Ridge Church of God.

He is survived by his wife Cletta Aaron, Russell Springs; four sons Harold Aaron, Paul Aaron and Joe Aaron, all of Russell Springs and Bruce Aaron, New Castle, Indiana; four daughter, Peggy Johnson, Debbie Bennett, both of Russell Spring, Jerlene Nice and Grace Patty, both of Salem, Indiana; three brothers Loren Aaron and Henry J. "Sonny" Aaron, both of Russell Springs and
Ted Aaron, Sheridan, Oregon; two sisters Mae Emerson, Richmond, Indiana and Willie Casey, Columbus, Indiana; twenty-one grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday, February 13, 2001, 1:00 p.m. at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Small officiating.

Burial was in Bernard Cemetery.

Special music was provided by Billy Dunbar and Diane Hughes.

Active pallbearers were Mark Patty, Matt Nice, Josh Bennett, Ronnie Aaron, Jonathan Aaron, Jason Aaron, Dr. Thomas Johnson and David Aaron.

Honorary pallbearers were Tim Nice, Adam Aaron, Brian Aaron and Daniel Johnson.

Bernard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
