From The Americus (GA) Times Recorder, July 24, 2005 ELLAVILLE -- Mr. Ray Eddy Beckwith, age 52, of 211 Chancey Drive, Ellaville, died Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 25, 2005, at the Andersonville National Cemetery. The Rev. J Carr will officiate. Mr. Beckwith was born Dec. 18, 1952 in Schley County, the son of the late Ralph Beckwith and Genieve Beckwith of Americus. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the Air Force. Mr. Beckwith was a member of Ellaville Baptist Church. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: one sister and brother-in-law, of Americus; one niece, of Atlanta and one nephew, of Columbus. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. today at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville.
