DOUBLE FUNERAL
HELD FOR TINLEYS
Council Bluffs---(AP)---Funer-
al service were conducted at 9
a. m. today for Emmet Tinley,
prominent Council Bluffs attorney,
and his wife, who preceded him in
death by two days.
A crowd of several hundred per-
sons filled St. Francis Xavier's
Catholic church to pay final trib-
ute to the couple, who had been
prominent in many of the city's
affairs. Streets surrounding the
church and the Tinley home,
which was a block away, were
crowded. Banks of the city and
many business houses were closed
during the morning.
Monsignor F. P. McManus con-
ducted the funeral service, which
preceded burial at Walnut Hill
cemetery. The pallbearers were
selected from members of the bar
who had been associated with Tin-
ley during his long years of serv-
ice.
