Marion Blanch Starr, 88, of Clearfield died on Sunday, April 4, 2010 at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.

She was born on October 7, 1921 in Bishtown, a daughter of the late Ruben and Vada Mae (Lytle) Manahan.

Mrs. Starr was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Kerr Addition United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school.

She is survived by three children, Albert Starr, Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Clearfield, Ray Starr of Clearfield and Dorothy Fenush and her husband, Joseph, of Grassflat; thirteen grandchildren;eleven great grandchildren; a brother and sister, Henry Manahan of Clearfield and Sarah Miller of Clearfield; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Starr on January 3, 1994 and whom she married December 29, 1938 in Cumberland, MD, a brother Lincoln Manahan, and five sisters Alice Carter, Emily Morgan, Clara Crandle and Lillian and Phoebe Manahan.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Virginia Eminhizer officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the hour of the service.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Kerr Addition United Methodist Church, in care of Rev. Virginia Eminhizer, 1010 Dorey Street, Clearfield.
