Funeral services for Mrs. Nannie Loy Murray were conducted Sunday afternoon, April 8, at Liberty Baptist Church of which she was a member, with Dr. J. Chester Badgett and Rev. Gilbert Sapp officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Murray was born in Taylor County on November 6, 1880, the daughter of the late Eli and Louisa Brown Loy, and died at Green River Rest Home in Liberty on Friday, April 6, following a long illness. She united in marriage to Will Murray, who preceded her in death in 1958,(date corrected) some fifty-eight years ago(in 1904). To this union five daughters and four sons were born. Surviving are William and Everett Murray of Campbellsville; Mrs. Hoyed Bowen and Mrs. Howard Smoot, both of Williamsburg, Ohio. Also surviving are a brother, John Loy, Flint, Michigan; a sister, Mrs. Cready Bowles of Furgis Falls, Minnesota; nineteen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Lindsey Murray, Howard Edelen, Jimmie Bowen, Otha Blevins, Bobbie Davis and Kermit Murray.
