He was preceded in death by his mother and one infant son.
He is survived by three sons, Bill Jackson,Glyndyn, Minn. Bob Jackson and his wife Carlene, Ava, and Gene Jackson Jr. and Tammy, Ozark, five daughters, Mrs. Linda Cameron , Cash, Oklahoma, Mrs.Kathy Osborn, Mont, Mrs Karen Matthews , Ozark, Mrs Darla Swearengin, Sparta,Mrs Julia Arnall, Ozarks, three brothers Arthur Elders, Reeds Springs, Buck Elder, Kansas City, Junior Elder, Reeds Springs, one sister Zola Brawner,Galena, three bro-in-laws , Jim Allen, Highlandville, Fred and wife Mary Allen, Springfield,and Wilford and wife, Mary Allen,Los Angeles, Calif, 15 grandchildren, and 13, gr-grandchildren.
He loved to attend church and testify how the Lord had saved him. Gene also enjoyed farming and raising beef cattle.
For 40 years he also trucked and hauled cedar post and grain, he was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Funeral services were in the Mease-Barnes Funeral Home Ozark. with burial in the Prospect Cemetery with Gary Jennings,and Gayle Cobb officiating.
