Saarland, Germany, in 1851; and came to this country while quite young. He located in Brazil, where he engaged in contracting and building until about four years ago. His wife , Mary A. Butterman, died four years ago. He was a member of the Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus organization.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Roscoe Harrell, Petersburg, Ind., and Mrs. Thomas Hutson, Brazil, and three sons, Albert, Fred, and William Butterman, all of Brazil; also a sister, Mrs. Kate White , Trenton N.J. and three brothers, Albert and Jacob Butterman Scranton, Pa., and Nick Butterman Great Falls, Mont.
