Samuel Bawden Bangerter, age 86, died at his home on Sunday, May 28, 2006, after a long illness. He was born November 29, 1919 in Granger, Utah, to William H. and Isabelle Bawden Bangerter. He graduated from Cyprus High and attended Brigham Young University and the University of Utah. He served in the Spanish American Mission from 1941-1944. He was in the US Army from 1945-1946. He married Gloria Liddle, December 15, 1944, in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a home builder for over 40 years. Sam was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. He was dearly loved by his large family. He is survived by his wife, Gloria L. Bangerter; his children and their spouses: Weyland and Daisy Bangerter, Carla and Tom Ogden, Erlyn Derbidge, Kristine and John Campbell, Harlan Bangerter, Judith and Mark Hendriksen, Paula and Mark Winters, and Adrian and Jennifer Bangerter; his devoted grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brothers and sisters and their spouses, Grant and Geraldine Bangerter, Pauline and William Jensen, Bessie Bangerter, Elsbeth Hansen, Marian and Richard Lindsay, Naomi and Leonard Christopherson, Norman and Colleen Bangerter; his brother-in-law, Parley Liddle. He was preceded in death by his son, Paul Bangerter; his parents; brothers: Blauer and David Bangerter; sisters: Sarah Hardy and Gleneth Wilson. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 1, 2006, 11:00 a.m. at the Candlestick Ward, Granger Stake, 2850 W. 3835 S., West Valley City. A viewing will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2006, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road and Thursday at the church, 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
