Louise Solter, 70, of LaGrange died Saturday, Dec. 17, 1983 at the Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Born May 24, 1913 at St. Patrick, she was the daughter of George and Lucy Simpson Ellison. She married Waldo Solter Aug. 17, 1940 at Canton and he died May 17, 1978. Mrs. Solter was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church of LaGrange and the St. Mary Altar Society. Survivors include two sons, Lance Solter of Ellisville, Mo., and Jan Solter of Portage, Mich.; three sisters: Hilda Logsdon, Muriel Kolthoff and Helen Stephens, all of LaGrange; three brothers: Robert Ellison of LaGrange and Howard and George A. Ellison, both of Canton; four grandchildren; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers and two sisters. Services were held Dec. 22 at the Notre Dame Catholic Church with Father Jerry Kaimann officiating. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery. Music was by Chuck Downs. Pallbearers were Larry Ellison, Billy Stephens, Francis Ellison, Danny Logsdon, Jerry Logsdon and Bobby Gene Ellison.
